While we are currently closed we are actively seeking to build our volunteer and trustee base. Look out for more information in the local press. We would love to hear from you if you want to support the local community by joining us either as a volunteer or as a new trustee. Anyone can volunteer and make a difference. Our workshop activities include craft, chair repairs and printing. For our trustees team we would be particularly interested in hearing from people with administration, IT, financial, operations or adult social care experience. The trustees are currently meeting every few weeks by Zoom. Please email us in the first instance: greenawayworkshop.org.uk. Rachael, our Workshop Manager will respond to you.
During the national lockdown the workshop is closed too volunteers and members. We will review the situation when the COVID incidence decreases and / or when government guidelines change. Meanwhile, our manager is still working from home so please do contact Rachael using email email@example.com.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back when it is safe to do so.
Sadly, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the workshop has had to temporarily close to protect members, volunteers and staff. The trustees are reviewing emails and answering where possible. The phones are not currently being answered.
We can quote for new printing work but are unlikely to be able to start work on any new jobs until the workshop re-opens.
Work on chair repairs has been suspended and we are safely storing all chairs currently under repair. We are not accepting new chair work until the emergency is over and we have re-opened. Please watch this page for further news, alternatively if you would like to receive an email when we re-open just email us and ask for this service.
We send you all the wish that you stay healthy and keep safe.
The staff and trustees of Greenaway Workshop
Our thanks go to members of the local Co-op at Darley Dale who donated their ‘dividend money’ to 3 local charities this year.
Greenaway Work shop was one of the charities that benefited from their generosity. The monies raised will go to the refurbishment of the Kitchen at the workshop and the purchase of new chairs.
Our new kitchen will be installed w/c 8th April 2019
There are a few renovated chairs available for sale at the Workshop.
Please call in or phone to find out more.
